The BSc (Hons) Computing with Technology provides a broad understanding of computing, software development, cloud computing, cyber security, and business technology. Students gain practical experience and industry-relevant skills, preparing them for careers in IT, network management, cloud technologies, software development, and digital business solutions.

The BSc (Hons) Computing with Technology helps students build a broad understanding of modern computing and technology. The course covers topics such as programming, software development, cloud computing, databases, cyber security, web development, DevOps, and enterprise architecture.
Students learn through practical projects, lab sessions, workshops, and real-life business examples to develop technical and problem-solving skills. The programme is suitable for students who want to start a career in computing as well as professionals looking to improve their knowledge with a recognised degree.
Throughout the course, students gain experience using industry-standard tools and technologies while learning how businesses use technology to solve problems.
Applicants normally need 112 UCAS Tariff points to apply for Year One. You can check how many points your qualifications are worth using the UCAS Tariff Calculator. Applicants must also have GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade 4/C or above, or an equivalent qualification. Those with an HNC or another Level 4 qualification in a computing or IT subject may be eligible to enter Year Two. Applicants with an HND or Foundation Degree in a computing or IT-related subject may be considered for Year Three entry. Applicants with a DipHE or another relevant Level 5 qualification, such as a Certificate, Diploma, or NVQ, may also be considered. Applicants over 21 with suitable work experience but no formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
