BSc Computing with Data Science and Big Data Technology (Level 5/6)

This BSc (Hons) Computing with Data Science and Big Data Technology programme will prepare you for a range of careers in Big Data and Data Science including technical, management, and leadership opportunities in this discipline.

Learn to develop and test various data science applications for business intelligence. Learn to programme with SQL, MySQL, Python, R language or similar and deploy distributed machine learning models using Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure or AWS. Satisfy the educational requirements of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT for professional membership.
Applicants are typically required to have 112 UCAS Tariff points, together with GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or an equivalent qualification for entry to the first year. Students applying for advanced entry may be eligible if they hold an HNC, HND, Foundation Degree, DipHE, or another recognised qualification in a relevant business, banking, or finance discipline. Mature applicants with appropriate professional experience may also be considered on an individual basis. International applicants must meet the university's English language requirements, normally an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no individual component below 5.5, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
