Extended MSc Marketing

The Extended MSc Marketing combines a Graduate Certificate with a master's degree, helping students build academic and marketing skills before progressing to postgraduate study. Graduates develop expertise in digital marketing, analytics, sustainability, and business strategy, preparing them for careers in marketing, consulting, and business management.

The Extended MSc Marketing is designed for students who need additional preparation before starting a master's degree. The course combines a Graduate Certificate with the MSc Marketing programme, helping students develop the academic, research, and business skills needed for postgraduate study. Students explore key areas including marketing principles, digital marketing, marketing innovation, sustainability, analytics, and business development.

The programme develops practical skills in planning marketing strategies, analysing market data, and solving business challenges. Teaching includes lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and independent study to build communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. After successfully completing the Graduate Certificate stage, students progress directly to the MSc Marketing programme.
Applicants should normally hold a third class, pass, or ordinary degree, or an equivalent qualification in any discipline. The extended route is designed for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements for direct entry to the MSc Marketing programme. Applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual component below 5.5, or an accepted equivalent qualification. Applicants should also meet the University's English language requirements. The Graduate Certificate stage helps students develop the academic, research, and study skills needed for postgraduate study. Students who successfully complete this stage with a minimum 50% pass mark in each module progress directly to the MSc Marketing programme.
