Master of Public Health (Part time)

The MSc Public Health is designed to develop the advanced knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to address modern public health challenges. The course prepares students for leadership roles in health improvement, policy, research, and public health practice.

  • The MSc Public Health is designed for students who want to develop the specialist knowledge, leadership skills, and practical understanding needed to improve health outcomes and address public health challenges. Whether you are already working in the sector or looking to progress into a public health career, this programme provides a modern approach to understanding health inequalities, prevention, health improvement, and population wellbeing. 


    Throughout the course, you will explore key areas of public health practice, developing skills in research, data analysis, health promotion, policy development, and evidence-based decision-making. You will learn how social, environmental, and economic factors influence health and how effective strategies can be developed to support communities. 

    By graduation, you will be prepared for a range of professional roles within public health, healthcare, research, and community wellbeing.

  • Standard Entry

    Applicants typically require:

    • A bachelor’s degree with honours at 2:2 or above (or equivalent).

    • Applicants should also demonstrate:

    • A strong interest in public health and health improvement.

    • An intention to work or progress within the public health sector.

    • Relevant professional experience may also be considered.


    English Language Requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate:

    IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or an equivalent recognised English language qualification.
