MSc Business with Hospitality and Tourism Management

The MSc Business with Hospitality and Tourism Management combines business management with specialist hospitality and tourism knowledge. Students develop practical skills in leadership, strategy, digital innovation, and tourism management, preparing them for careers in hotels, tourism organisations, events, hospitality consulting, and international business.

  • The MSc Business with Hospitality and Tourism Management is designed for graduates from non-business backgrounds who want to develop business knowledge alongside specialist hospitality and tourism management skills. The course covers leadership, strategic management, hospitality management, international tourism, innovation, business analytics, and project management.

Students learn how hospitality and tourism organisations operate, respond to changing customer needs, and use digital technologies to improve services. Teaching combines lectures, seminars, workshops, practical activities, and business simulations to help students develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Students also explore sustainable tourism, innovation, and global business challenges through real-world case studies. The programme finishes with a master's dissertation, allowing students to research a topic in depth.

  • Applicants should normally have a minimum 2:2 honours degree, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognised university. The course is designed for graduates from non-business backgrounds, so previous business knowledge is not required. Applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual score below 5.5, or an accepted equivalent qualification.

Applicants who do not meet the academic requirements but have significant business experience or a relevant professional qualification may also be considered. Each application is reviewed individually to ensure applicants have the knowledge and potential to succeed on the programme.
