The MSc Cyber Security Technology (Online) is designed for graduates who want to begin a career in cyber security without previous experience in the subject. The course develops practical knowledge of cyber security, cloud computing, networking, information governance, and digital technologies. Students learn how to identify security threats, protect computer systems, manage cyber risks, and apply security solutions using modern tools and technologies.

Teaching is delivered fully online through lectures, tutorials, practical exercises, videos, and interactive learning materials, allowing students to study flexibly alongside work or personal commitments. Applicants should normally have a minimum 2:2 honours degree from a recognised university in any subject except Cyber Security, or an equivalent professional qualification. Applicants without standard academic qualifications may also be considered if they have at least three years of relevant IT or software development experience. In these cases, applicants must provide a personal statement and discuss their experience with a member of the academic team. Applicants should also have GCSE English at grade A–C/4 or equivalent.
