MSc in Global Sustainable Development (*Distance Learning)

The MSc Global Sustainable Development is designed for graduates and professionals who want to address today's environmental, social, and economic challenges. Developed in partnership with UNITAR, the course explores the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and prepares you to lead sustainable change across organisations, communities, and industries.

The MSc Global Sustainable Development is designed for graduates and professionals who want to develop the advanced knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to address global sustainability challenges. Developed in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the programme explores the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and examines how sustainability is understood and implemented across different countries, sectors, and organisations.

You will study sustainable development theory, research methods, environmental and social policy, and the role of businesses, governments, and communities in creating positive change. The course encourages critical debate, evidence-based decision-making, and independent research while developing valuable skills in analysis, communication, project evaluation, and strategic thinking.
Applicants will normally need one of the following:

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related subject.

A combination of higher education qualifications (such as a Foundation Degree) and relevant professional experience, assessed through Recognised Prior Learning (RPL).

Applicants must also have:

GCSE English at Grade C/4 or above, or an equivalent international qualification.
