MSc International Business Management

The Extended MSc International Business with Human Resource Management with Advanced Practice combines postgraduate study with valuable workplace experience. Students develop expertise in international business and human resource management before completing an internship or consultancy project, preparing them for careers in HR, consulting, management, and global organisations.

  • The Extended MSc International Business with Human Resource Management with Advanced Practice is designed for students who need extra preparation before beginning a master's degree. The programme combines a Graduate Certificate with a full MSc, helping students build the academic, research, and professional skills needed for postgraduate study. Students gain knowledge of international business, global marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, business strategy, and human resource management while learning how organisations manage people in an international environment.

Teaching includes lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and independent study, helping students develop communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The Advanced Practice stage provides valuable workplace experience through a 15-week internship or an applied consultancy project with a real organisation.

  • Applicants should normally hold a third class, pass, or ordinary degree, or an equivalent qualification. This extended route is designed for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements for direct entry to the MSc programme. Applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual component below 5.5, or an accepted equivalent qualification. The Graduate Certificate stage helps students build the academic, research, and study skills needed for postgraduate learning. Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate with a minimum 50% pass mark in each module will automatically progress to the MSc International Business with Human Resource Management with Advanced Practice programme.
