The BSc (Hons) Computing with Information Technology Management combines technical computing expertise with business and management principles to prepare students for careers in today's technology-driven organisations. The programme develops knowledge of software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, business intelligence, and IT management, enabling students to understand how technology supports organisational performance and digital transformation. Through practical projects, laboratory sessions, and real-world case studies, students build the skills needed to analyse, design, and implement effective IT solutions. Alongside technical knowledge, the course strengthens leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities that are highly valued across the technology sector. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and practical experience required to manage information technology systems, support business operations, and pursue careers in a wide range of computing and IT management roles.
Applicants may enter the programme at different stages depending on their previous qualifications. Entry to Year One normally requires 112 UCAS Tariff points, together with GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or an equivalent qualification. Direct entry to Year Two is available to applicants who hold an HNC or another recognised Level 4 qualification in Computing or Information Technology. Applicants seeking entry to Year Three should normally possess an HND, Foundation Degree, Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), or another recognised Level 5 qualification in a relevant computing or IT discipline. Applicants entering at Levels 5 or 6 must also demonstrate Level 2 Mathematics or an equivalent qualification. Mature applicants with relevant professional experience may also be considered. International applicants must meet the University's English language requirements.
