BSc (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management with Foundation Year

This Accounting and Finance degree with Foundation Year helps you build the knowledge and skills needed for careers in accounting, finance, business, or entrepreneurship. You’ll learn how organisations manage money and make decisions, while developing practical skills valued by employers and professional accounting bodies.

  • This Accounting and Finance degree is designed to provide you with the knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience needed for a successful career in accounting, finance, business management, or entrepreneurship. 


    Throughout the course, you will explore key areas including financial reporting, management accounting, audit, taxation, corporate finance, and business law, helping you understand how organisations manage financial decisions and challenges. The Foundation Year provides a supportive introduction to higher education, helping you build essential academic skills while developing your understanding of accounting and finance principles. 


    You will also develop valuable transferable skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, data analysis, and decision-making. With a strong focus on employability and professional development, the programme prepares you for a range of opportunities within the finance sector or further professional study. By graduation, you will have the confidence and expertise needed to progress towards your career goals.

  • Applicants Must be Aged 18+ and:


    Have a Level 3 qualification (equivalent to either 60 credits or 80 UCAS tariff points)

    Have five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above or equivalent. 

    Be assessed via an interview for listening, speaking, numeracy and writing.


    Applicants Aged 21+: 

    We welcome applications from students 21+ who do not match the standard entry requirements but who can demonstrate willingness and commitment to studying this subject, and who can evidence academic, professional or vocational experience in a related field.
