BSc (Hons) Business with Foundation Year

This Business bachelor’s degree prepares students for careers in business management. It covers key areas such as finance, human resources, operations, and strategy, helping students develop practical and analytical skills. The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

  • This Business Management degree is designed for students who want to develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed for a successful career in business. Throughout the course, you will study key areas including financial management, human resources, operations, strategic planning, leadership, and organisational management. 


    You will learn how businesses operate, make informed decisions, and respond to the challenges of today's changing business environment. The programme combines academic learning with practical activities, helping you apply business theory to real workplace situations while developing valuable skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and critical thinking. 


    The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), recognising its professional relevance and providing additional value to your qualification. By the time you graduate, you will be well prepared for a wide range of careers in business, management, consultancy, or entrepreneurship, as well as further study.

  • To apply, you will usually need one of the following Level 3 qualifications:


    Three A Levels at grade C or above

    A BTEC Extended Diploma with grades MMM or above

    An Access to HE qualification (23–45 credits at Merit/Distinction level, including at least 6 Distinctions)

    A T Level at grade Pass (with C or above)

    Other UK or international Level 3 qualifications that are considered equivalent


    You will also need GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.


    If you do not have these qualifications, you may be required to take an internal assessment.
