BSc Computing with Artificial Intelligence Technology

The BSc (Hons) Computing with AI Technology equips students with practical and theoretical skills in computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies, and programming. The programme prepares graduates for careers in AI and related industries by combining academic knowledge with hands-on learning and industry-relevant assessment methods.

  • The BSc (Hons) Computing with AI Technology programme combines essential computing principles with the latest developments in artificial intelligence, preparing students for careers in one of the fastest-growing areas of technology. The course provides a strong foundation in programming, software development, data analysis, cloud computing, and AI-driven solutions while exploring how emerging technologies are transforming industries.


    Designed for both aspiring computing professionals and those looking to enhance their existing IT knowledge, the programme develops practical technical skills alongside problem-solving, analytical thinking, and innovation. Through hands-on learning and industry-focused applications, students will gain the confidence to design, develop, and implement intelligent systems.

  • Applicants may enter the programme at Year 1, Year 2, or Year 3, depending on their previous qualifications and academic experience.

    Year 1 Entry (Level 4)
    Applicants should have:

    • 112 UCAS Tariff points from a recognised Level 3 qualification.

    • GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade 4/C or above, or an equivalent qualification.

    Year 2 Entry (Level 5)
    Applicants should have:

    • A Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent Level 4 qualification in Computing, IT, or a related subject area.

    Year 3 Entry (Level 6)
    Applicants should have:

    • A Higher National Diploma (HND) or Foundation Degree in Computing, IT, or a related field.

    • Applicants with a relevant computing or IT qualification alongside a Level 5 award (such as a Certificate, Diploma, NVQ, or DipHE) may also be considered.
