BSc Computing with Information Technology Management (Top-up)

The BSc (Hons) Computing with Information Technology Management develops the technical and managerial skills needed to succeed in today's digital business environment. Students gain practical experience in software development, business intelligence, DevOps, and enterprise architecture, preparing them for careers that combine information technology, leadership, and business innovation.

  • The BSc (Hons) Computing with Information Technology Management combines technical computing knowledge with business management principles to prepare students for leadership roles in modern IT environments. The programme explores software development, business intelligence, enterprise architecture, website development, DevOps, and information technology management, enabling students to understand how digital technologies support organisational performance and innovation. Through practical laboratory sessions, industry-focused projects, and real-world case studies, students develop the skills to analyse, design, and implement technology solutions that address business needs. Alongside technical expertise, the course strengthens communication, leadership, research, and problem-solving abilities that are highly valued by employers. Graduates leave with the knowledge and practical experience required to manage IT systems, support digital transformation, and pursue careers across a wide range of computing and technology sectors.

  • Applicants can join the programme at different stages depending on their previous qualifications. Entry to Year One normally requires 112 UCAS Tariff points, together with GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or an equivalent qualification. Direct entry to Year Two is available to applicants who hold an HNC or another recognised Level 4 qualification in a computing or IT-related subject. Applicants wishing to enter Year Three should normally possess an HND, Foundation Degree, Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), or another recognised Level 5 qualification in Computing or Information Technology. Applicants entering Levels 5 or 6 must also provide evidence of a Level 2 Mathematics qualification or equivalent, although exemptions may apply where relevant quantitative study has previously been completed. International applicants must meet the University's English language requirements, including IELTS 6.0 overall with no component below 5.5, or an approved equivalent.
