BSc International Banking and Finance (Top-up)

The BSc (Hons) International Banking and Finance develops the knowledge and practical skills needed for careers in global banking and financial services. Students gain expertise in financial markets, investment, banking regulation, and risk management while building the analytical and professional skills valued by employers in the finance sector.

  • The BSc (Hons) International Banking and Finance provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the global financial sector and the principles that underpin modern banking. The programme explores areas such as financial markets, investment management, banking operations, international finance, and financial regulation, helping students develop the skills needed to evaluate complex financial issues and support informed business decisions.

Through practical learning, case studies, and industry-relevant projects, students strengthen their analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities while gaining insight into current trends affecting global finance. The course also develops professional communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills, preparing graduates for careers across banking, financial services, investment, and corporate finance, or for progression to postgraduate study.

  • The programme offers flexible entry points for applicants with previous qualifications in business, finance, banking, or a related subject. Entry to Year Two normally requires a recognised Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline. Applicants wishing to enter Year Three should typically hold an HND, Foundation Degree, Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), or another recognised Level 5 qualification in an appropriate subject area.

Applications from individuals with relevant professional experience may also be considered where appropriate. International applicants are required to meet the University's English language requirements, usually an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component below 5.5, or an equivalent recognised qualification. Applicants should also satisfy any country-specific academic requirements published by the University.
