The BSc (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality and Events equips students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in the global visitor economy. The BSc (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality and Events provides students with the knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in the global tourism, hospitality, and events industries. The programme explores how these sectors operate within an international environment, covering areas such as destination management, hospitality operations, event planning, sustainability, and responsible business practices.
Students develop an understanding of current industry trends while enhancing their leadership, communication, research, and problem-solving abilities through practical projects and real-world case studies. The course encourages students to think strategically about the challenges and opportunities facing the visitor economy and prepares them to manage tourism, hospitality, and event organisations effectively.
This programme offers flexible entry routes for students with previous qualifications in business, tourism, hospitality, events, or related disciplines. Applicants entering Year Two are normally expected to hold a recognised Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject. Those applying for Year Three should typically possess an HND, Foundation Degree, Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), or another recognised Level 5 qualification.
Applications from candidates with appropriate professional experience may also be considered on an individual basis. International applicants must meet the University's English language requirements, which normally include an IELTS score of 5.5 overall, with no individual component below 5.5, or an accepted equivalent qualification. Applicants should also satisfy any country-specific academic entry requirements published by the University.
