The Foundation Degree in Human Resources and Business is designed for students who want to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for careers in human resources, business, and management. This two-year programme is suitable for school leavers, career changers, and students returning to education.
Throughout the course, you will explore key HR topics including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and employment law, alongside wider business areas such as finance, marketing, organisational behaviour, and management. The course combines academic study with practical learning, helping you apply your knowledge to real workplace situations and develop skills valued by employers.
With supportive teaching, personal tutor guidance, and career support, you will build confidence and professional skills. By the time you graduate, you will be prepared to progress to a BA (Hons) Top-Up degree or pursue careers in HR, business administration, and management.
Entry requirements:
To apply for this course, you will usually need:
At least 32 UCAS points from a Level 3 qualification in Business or a related subject
GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
IELTS 5.5 if you are an international student
We also welcome applications from mature students or those without formal qualifications. If you have relevant work or life experience, you may still be considered. In these cases, you may be asked to provide:
