This HND in Construction Management helps you develop the practical skills and knowledge needed for a career in the construction industry. You’ll learn about project planning, site management, health and safety, and construction technology, preparing you for roles in construction or progression to further study.

This HND in Construction Management is designed to develop the knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience needed for a successful career in the construction industry.
Throughout the course, you will explore key areas including project planning, site operations, design coordination, construction technology, health and safety, and sustainable construction practices. You will learn how modern construction projects are managed and how new technologies are helping to shape the future of the industry.
The programme combines academic study with practical learning through case studies, site visits, work-related projects, and insights from industry professionals, allowing you to apply your knowledge to real construction environments. You will develop valuable skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making that employers value.
By the time you graduate, you will be prepared for roles such as site manager, project coordinator, construction planner, health and safety officer, or further study in construction management.
Applicants must be aged 18+ and:
Have a Level 3 qualification or an Access to Higher Education certificate.
Demonstrate English proficiency: GCSE 4/C or CEFR B2. If you do not have this qualification, you can carry out an English test provided at a GBS campus.
Pass an Academic interview.
Applicants aged 21+:
We welcome applications from students 21+ who do not match the standard entry requirements but who can demonstrate willingness and commitment to studying this subject, and who can evidence academic, professional or vocational experience in a related field.
