This HND in Digital Technologies (Cyber Security) gives you the skills needed for a career in IT and cyber security. You’ll learn about digital systems, data, software, and security, gaining practical experience in solving real-world technology problems and preparing for jobs or further study in the digital sector.

  • This HND in Digital Technologies (Cyber Security) is designed to provide you with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to succeed in the fast-growing digital technology sector. 


    Throughout the course, you will explore key areas including cyber security, computing, data management, software development, and digital technologies while gaining experience through practical projects and applied learning. 


    You will learn how to identify and respond to cyber security risks, manage digital systems, analyse data, and support modern technology solutions. The programme helps you develop valuable skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, analysis, and technical decision-making, preparing you to respond to real-world challenges in a changing digital environment. 


    By the time you graduate, you will be prepared for careers in cyber security, IT support, software development, data analysis, networking, web development, or digital consultancy, or you can progress to a university top-up degree.

  • Applicants Must be Aged 18+ and: 


    Have a Level 3 qualification or an Access to Higher Education certificate.

    Demonstrate English proficiency: GCSE 4/C or CEFR B2. If you do not have this qualification, you can carry out an English test provided at a GBS campus.

    Pass an Academic interview.

    Applicants Aged 21+:


    We welcome applications from students 21+ who do not match the standard entry requirements but who can demonstrate willingness and commitment to studying this subject, and who can evidence academic, professional or vocational experience in a related field.
