LLB (Hons) Law with Foundation Year

The LLB (Hons) Law provides a strong foundation in legal principles while developing practical skills through law clinics, mock courtrooms, and professional learning. You will explore key areas of law and prepare for careers in legal practice and related professions.



  • The LLB (Hons) Law is designed to provide students with the essential legal knowledge, practical skills, and professional understanding needed for a successful career in law. Throughout the course, you will study the core foundations of legal knowledge, exploring areas such as contract law, criminal law, public law, property law, and other key legal principles. 


    The programme combines academic study with practical experience through activities such as law clinics, mock courtrooms, and professional learning opportunities, helping you develop confidence in applying legal concepts to real-world situations. 


    The course meets the academic requirements recognised by professional legal bodies, supporting progression towards careers as solicitors or barristers, as well as opportunities in wider legal and business-related fields.

  • Standard Entry

    Typical entry requirements:

    104–120 UCAS Tariff points from Level 3 qualifications, including:

    A Levels

    T Levels

    BTECs

    OCR qualifications

    Access to Higher Education Diploma

    Other recognised equivalent qualifications


    Applicants must also have:

    3 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Mathematics.


    English Language Requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate:

    IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent recognised English language qualification.


    Additional Requirements

    Applicants are assessed based on their overall suitability for the course.

    Equivalent qualifications may also be considered.

    Students studying by distance learning will need access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
