Mental Health Awareness

We’re proud to take a step forward and tackle this important issue by introducing our Mental Health in Construction course.

  • Mental health remains an often-overlooked issue in the construction industry, where conversations typically focus on physical hazards.
    This course aims to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encourage open discussions, and provide essential knowledge on recognizing and addressing mental health challenges in the workplace. Participants will gain insight into common mental health issues, their causes, and how to seek and offer support.


    The course covers the following key areas:

    1. Course aims and objectives

    2. Relevant health and safety legislation

    3. PowerPoint presentation

    4. Case study evaluation

    5. Open discussion on mental health issues identified in the presentation

    6. Review of the five basic steps of mental health first aid

  • This is a half-day course delivered in a classroom environment using a variety of teaching methods, including PowerPoint presentations, shared case studies, and group discussions.

    Learners will be assessed through a written test at the end of the session to confirm their understanding of mental health awareness.

    Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate and an awarding body-issued card verifying their Mental Health Awareness training.

It is suitable for anyone working in the construction industry who wishes to improve their understanding of mental health and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
